So how do you start a weight loss program? I believe the very first step is resolve. I WILL do this. I HAVE to do this. I have a lot riding on this... my general health, my family, my marriage, my future, my emotional well-being.
Are my kids going to grow up watching me eat junk; avoiding my meltdowns as my blood sugar spikes and bottoms out; see me get breathless walking across the park; hear me say "I can't" as a result of one of the many consequences of having unhealthy habits? Or are they going to see me turn off the television or computer, put on a pair of running shoes, and move my butt?
So let's get a move on.
