The Rules of Weigh-In

These are my rules of Weigh In:

Weigh in one day per week, on the same day, the same time of day. I know this can be difficult, but your weight fluctuates throughout the day and you are more likely to be accurate if you record it at the same time of day.  Personally, I know my weight at 8 am can be 2 pounds heavier than my weight at 5 pm.

Use the same scale. Each scale is calibrated differently and it's impossible to gauge progress if using several
different scales.

Wear the same or similar clothes to minimize variations.  If you weigh in in the buff, ALWAYS weigh in in the buff.

Record your weight and, if your scale records it, any other stats like body fat percentage and water. Make no excuses, no "I'm bloated today" or "I just had lunch". Just the facts, ma'am... although if you're a woman you will see a monthly fluctuation emerging in relation to your cycle.

Affectionately,
Jane
